Learning Mandarin Chinese since the 1980s, with a wealth of experience working in schools, vocational colleges and universities, I am passionate about teaching Chinese to Australians.
In 2019, inbound tourism from China was worth $12.4 billion, overtaking New Zealand as our largest source of travellers. In 2024, we can anticipate a return of Chinese speaking visitors, as free and independent travellers keen to explore regional Australia.
The 2021 Census revealed that Mandarin is already the second most commonly spoken language in Australia. The time has come for us to make more of an effort to engage effectively with Chinese speakers.
Meanwhile, modern technologies, such as Google Translate, WeChat, and Youtube, make learning languages and connecting with people so much easier and more accessible.
If you are interested in learning Chinese for business, or so you can explore the Chinese speaking world, we will design a course that suits your needs. Our classes are flexible, and affordable for individuals or groups.
