Students

10949NAT Certificate II in Applied Language provides students with the language skills and cultural knowledge to enable them to communicate in social and workplace situations in Mandarin Chinese. Students develop intercultural sensitivity and capacity to function in environments where there is a range of cultural and languages backgrounds. They learn the basic linguistic competency required to understand and use Chinese in social and workplace settings, using readily available applications and online resources.

11074NAT Certificate III in Applied Language provides students with more advanced language skills and cultural knowledge to enable them to communicate in the multilingual workplace. Students develop intercultural sensitivity and knowledge skills to improve their understanding of Chinese speakers. They apply for jobs where Mandarin is required, and practise elementary listening, speaking, reading and writing using Google Translate and WeChat for communication.
